Castlemaine Football Netball Club are coming off a huge 150th celebration year which saw the committee work tirelessly to put together some fantastic functions in 2009 celebrating a huge milestone in the clubs history.

CFNC have embarked on the 2010 season with a new committee and football netball coaches.

The President is Tony Walsh with Trevor Butcher vice President, Fiona Oliver secretary and Kathie Teasdale treasurer.  The committee has been working hard over the summer months setting up sub committees and ensuring the strategic plan is progressing.

Paul Eyles returns to the club as senior football coach and is very optimistic for 2010 with a big emphasis on local talent as well as some new recruits.  David Ross and Frank Byrne are assisting Paul with the seniors.  Lenny Watson has taken a duel role with Craig Ginnivan as reserves coaches and is excited with the youth that are coming through.  Jeff Deppler and Lenny Watson are coaching the under 18’s also in a duel coaching role.  Shane Green is under 16 ½ coach for this year.    Dale Williams is coaching the super rules team who have great numbers attending training sessions and are proving to be a very handy resource around the club.

Netball this year sees Maree Bagley coaching the A grade side, Chelsea Williams coaching A reserve, Debbie Ginnivan B grade and the under 17’s coached by Tayla Williams and Jordan Plant.  The netball coaches are working very hard to bring young players through to build strong sides for the future years ensuring Castlemaine netball are competitive.

CFNC commenced the year on the 26th March with a family night and had a very good crowd with a fantastic atmosphere, and are encouraging families to come along and get involved in the club.

The social calendar is almost completed for the year so watch this space for more details.
